Viking Airlines launches first flights

A new airline has started flights from the international airport of Athens to Manchester and Iraq.
Viking Airlines Hellas is member of the Viking group, founded in September 2009 and with headquarters in Athens. At first Viking Airlines Hellas will fly once a week to Manchester and with the same frequency to Iraq.
From next month, the frequency to both destinations will rise to three per week, and to once a day this summer. The company, according to the economic newspaper Express, also plans to carry out charter flights, which will reportedly start this summer to Heraklion (Crete) and Cyprus.
